Mel Wikner - founder
Mel began her career in 2006 after graduating from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. She has since developed into one of the most dynamic and versatile stylists in the Twin Cities. Her work has been featured in Minneapolis/St.Paul Magazine, at New York Fashion Week, and numerous editorial and commercial shoots.
Mel has an eye for detail, and for bringing out her clients individuality and style. Opening Brixton Hue is an exciting step in her career, and one that draws on her years of experience to create an atmosphere of luxury, style, and creativity.

My love for hair started at a very young age, but my career began in 2011 after graduating from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. I live in Prior Lake and am so excited to work within my own community while meeting new people.
My passion is using different color techniques to create looks that are personalized for every individual. The relationships I build with clients are something that I truly value. I love being a highlight in someone’s day and making them feel the best version of themselves when they leave my chair.

I began my journey in the cosmetology industry in 2010. I am originally from the Prior Lake area and love working in my hometown and getting to see so many familiar faces. I have a passion for hair and fashion which is what ultimately led me to this amazing industry. I specialize in blonding and styling. My favorite part about my job is making people feel beautiful and confident.

I began my cosmetology journey in 2019 at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. My passion for hair came to me at a young age while growing up in Prior Lake. I am so excited to continue to grow my education, and build my career so close to home. I value getting to know every one of you and can't wait to do your hair!

I began my exciting journey as a hair stylist in January 2024, I graduated from Capri College in Iowa. My love for fashion drives my passion for hair styling, and I'm particularly excited about specializing in sew-in weft extensions and color.
My goal is to continuously develop my skills and stay at the forefront of hair fashion trends, ensuring that my clients always leave feeling their most confident and beautiful.

I began my hairstyling journey at PCI Academy and joined the salon industry in May 2025. From the start, my goal has been to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where clients can relax, feel truly cared for, and leave with renewed confidence.
